Lean Practitioner Proficiency

Recognizes practitioners who consistently apply Lean and continuous improvement methods across operational and organizational contexts. The accredited individual leads improvement initiatives, enables flow, and produces measurable results.

Requirements

1-hour accreditation interview. The candidate must: - Provide evidence of at least 2 years of experience applying Lean or continuous improvement practices (or 1 year if continuously mentored by an ACA Accredited Coach). - Answer 2 questions requiring judgment in Lean applications: selecting the right tool for a given context, managing resistance to change, or sustaining improvements over time. - Provide evidence of having conducted value stream mapping and identified actionable improvement opportunities in at least 2 different processes or organizational contexts. - Provide evidence of having led or facilitated at least 1 structured continuous improvement initiative (Kaizen, PDCA cycle, process redesign) with documented outcomes including metrics. - Present 1 case study of reducing waste or improving flow with measurable results: what was the baseline, what was done, what changed. - Share at least 3 self-improvement goals grounded in patterns observed in their improvement work.
