
Agile Leader Proficiency
Recognizes practitioners who consistently apply agile leadership in complex organizational contexts. The accredited individual enables structural, cultural, and process change within teams and departments, driving sustainable agility improvements.
Requirements
1-hour accreditation interview. The candidate must:
- Provide evidence of at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role in an agile context (or 1 year if continuously mentored by an ACA Accredited Coach). Evidence must include contracts, org charts, or written references.
- Answer 2 questions requiring judgment in complex agile leadership situations: managing resistance, enabling autonomy at scale, or navigating organizational politics.
- Provide evidence of having influenced at least 1 cultural shift in an organization that demonstrably enables agility (e.g., shift from command-and-control to servant leadership, adoption of transparency practices).
- Provide evidence of having influenced at least 1 structural change (formal or informal) that enables agility (e.g., team topology change, removal of organizational layer, change in governance model).
- Provide evidence of having led or sponsored at least 1 agile process implementation in their organization, with documented adoption outcomes.
- Provide evidence of at least 1 team or area improvement process with measurable before-and-after outcomes.
- Provide evidence of having supported at least 2 individual development processes with documented outcomes.
- Present 1 case study of leading an organization or area toward enhanced agility: context, actions taken, resistance encountered, and results.
- Share at least 3 self-improvement goals grounded in patterns observed in their leadership practice.
