Training Excellence
Recognizes practitioners who have demonstrated mastery in professional training and organizational capability development. The accredited individual designs enterprise learning strategies, applies advanced instructional methods including Team-Based Learning, enables other trainers, and creates lasting organizational capability improvement.
Requirements
1.5-hour accreditation interview. The candidate must:
- Provide evidence of at least 5 years of professional training and capability development experience (or 2 years if continuously mentored by an ACA Accredited Coach), including enterprise-level program design and multi-trainer coordination.
- Answer 3 questions requiring strategic reasoning: designing a learning ecosystem (not just individual programs), building internal training capability, measuring learning ROI, and aligning training strategy with organizational goals.
- Provide evidence of having designed and led at least 2 enterprise-level training programs, including a full learning architecture: needs analysis, program structure, multi-session design, trainer guidance, and organizational impact measurement.
- Present 2 case studies of building organizational capability through training: the capability gap identified, the learning strategy designed, the delivery approach (including any Train-the-Trainer or Team-Based Learning components), and the measurable organizational impact.
- Provide evidence of having designed and applied Team-Based Learning (TBL) or equivalent cohort-based active learning methodologies in at least 1 program, with documented outcomes.
- Provide evidence of having mentored or developed at least 2 other trainers: what the development process looked like, what was worked on, and how the trainers grew.
- Provide evidence of having designed a training strategy that outlasted the trainer's direct involvement, with documented evidence of sustained organizational learning.
- Share self-improvement goals that reflect a systemic view of learning strategy and organizational capability leadership.
