
Coaching Excellence
Recognizes practitioners who have demonstrated mastery in professional coaching. The accredited individual works with complex systemic and leadership challenges, coaches at organizational level, and develops other coaches through supervision or mentoring.
Requirements
1.5-hour accreditation interview. The candidate must:
- Provide evidence of at least 5 years of professional coaching practice (or 2 years if continuously mentored by an ACA Accredited Coach), across diverse client profiles including leaders and complex organizational systems.
- Answer 3 questions requiring mastery-level reasoning: working with systemic patterns and organizational dynamics in coaching, navigating ethical dilemmas, and enabling coachees to work on their own patterns and blind spots.
- Provide evidence of at least 10 sustained coaching engagements with diverse clients, showing range across different seniority levels, industries, or challenges.
- Present 2 case studies of coaching leaders or senior professionals through complex organizational or leadership challenges, showing the arc from initial contracting through mindset work, option exploration, action commitment, and sustained change.
- Provide evidence of having supervised or mentored at least 1 other coach: what the supervision process looked like, what was worked on, and how the supervisee developed.
- Provide evidence of operating within a recognized professional certification and supervision framework.
- Share self-improvement goals that reflect mastery-level self-awareness and a personal development plan as a coach.
